Programme of Assistance to the Palestinian People
25.09.2012 – Under the Auspices of the Ministry of Planning and Administrative Development (MOPAD), the Government of Sweden and UNDP sign a USD 13.6 million agreement to support projects in Area C and East Jerusalem: This Palestinian-owned programme facility is led by MOPAD, facilitated by UNDP and implemented in partnership with civil society organizations in cooperation with other line Ministries and Authorities. The Programme aims at improving the living conditions of the Palestinian population by focusing on community infrastructure, protection of natural resources, income generation and human rights. The signing ceremony was in the presence of Mr Axel Wernhoff, Consul General of Sweden and Mr Frode Mauring, UNDP Special Representative of the Administrator.
