EU provides €15 million for better living conditions and increased economic opportunities in Lebanon

Improvement of housing of the most vulnerable Palestine refugees in Lebanon (€5 million): This programme aims to rehabilitate the dilapidated shelters. It will have direct benefits for the well-being of the shelters' inhabitants, providing a positive social impact for highly vulnerable Palestine refugees in Lebanon who are most in need for better housing.

After a very positive evaluation of the previous programmes which rehabilitated 1,286 shelters, this new programme will replicate the "self-help" approach to renovate the housing of around 400 families residing in 11 camps in the country.

This EU support falls under the 2015 allocation for Lebanon.
