Ihsanoglu condemns Israeli extremists’ assault against Christian properties in Jerusalem

The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Professor Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, strongly condemned Israeli extremists’ assault against the Baptist Church in Jerusalem with writings on the wall insulting Jesus and his mother Mary (peace be upon them), and by destroying and desecrating the church’s properties.

The Secretary General added that Israeli is responsible for this heinous act, which is added to series of its extremist citizens’ assaults on Christian and Muslim properties and holy places. He called the international community to protect the holy places, exert pressure on Israel to stop such violations and to comply with the rules of international law.
