Call for tender: mapping study of civil society in Palestine

The EU-funded Civil Society Facility – South (CSF-South) has launched a call for tender for a technical assistance service contract to conduct a national mapping of civil society organisations in Palestine.
The overall objective of the technical assistance is to strengthen the involvement of civil society in public affairs and in the elaboration, implementation and monitoring of development strategies, in line with the forthcoming Palestinian Authority's National Development Plan (2014-16).
The specific objective is to update/upgrade the existing mapping study of 2011 by expanding its scope in order to provide a comprehensive complete overview of the civil society state of play in Palestine, including its capacity-building needs and recommendations to better engage with CSOs in and through cooperation and policy dialogue.
The indicative starting date of the assignment is March/April 2014 and the indicative finish date is July/August 2014.

The Neighbourhood Civil Society Facility aims to strengthen civil society actors in partner countries and contribute to promoting an enabling environment for their work.
