Of note this week
– Palestinians were killed and 114 injured throughout the oPt. Israelis and international were injured. One Israeli was injured in Western Negev. The vast majority of the deaths w in the Gaza Strip, while most of the injuries were in the West Bank.
– PA employees, including teachers and health care workers, continued a general openended strike in protest against the non-payment of their monthly salaries since March 2006. The strike is being imposed more comprehensively in the West Bank than in the Gaza Strip.
– During the reporting period OCHA field offices reported 14 incidents where the IDF or Israeli settlers caused problems for Palestinians picking olives.
