Al 'Eizariya Local Council will use the funds for the rehabilitation of the water network in the town. This project's objective is to secure sufficient tap water supply for the residents who currently suffer from inadequate water supply and quality. Around 11,400 (-1900 households) in the Eastern part of the town will benefit from replacing the main transferring pipeline with a new one. Moreover, improving the water leakage issue will be beneficial for the community as a whole.

He emphasized Japan's firm commitment of supporting Palestinian people from human security perspective as well as the importance of implementing social and economic development projects needed for Palestinian communities.

Since 1993, the Government of Japan has extended its official development assistance to approximately $1.6 billion, to the Palestinians. GGP projects have been formulated in collaboration with the Palestinian Authority through MoPAD since 2010.
