Death of Ziad Abu Ein
Spain is deeply saddened by the death of Ziad Abu Ein, Minister without Portfolio in the Palestinian Authority, yesterday in the Palestinian town of Turmus Ayya and wishes to transmit its deepest condolences to his family and loved ones, as well as to the Palestinian Authority and people.
The government of Spain expresses its concern and asks for a speedy and full investigation to clarify the circumstances of Minister Ziad Abu Ein's death, as Israeli authorities have promised.
Additionally, Spain reiterates to all parties the need to act responsibly and to abstain from acts or statements that could increase tensions.
