ICJ Advisory opinion on the Legal Consequences of the Construction of a Wall in the OPT – Request for resumption of special session – Letter from Jordan

 

Letter dated 12 July 2004 from the Permanent Representative of Jordan to the United Nations addressed to the President of the General Assembly

  

  

  In my capacity as Chairman of the Arab Group for the month of July 2004 and on behalf of the States members of the League of Arab States, and in accordance with the decision of the tenth emergency special session issued as document A/ES-10/L.17 and Add.1 dated 3 and 8 December 2003, respectively, I have the honour to request the resumption of the tenth emergency special session of the General Assembly to consider the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice of Friday, 9 July 2004 concerning the legal effects of the erection of the wall being constructed by Israel, the occupying Power, in the occupied Palestinian territory, including East Jerusalem and surrounding areas.
