Supplemental information

The Chief of Staff of UNTSO, Major-General Ensio Siilasvuo has submitted the following report on incidents observed by United Nations military observers on 28 October 1972.

Israel-Lebanon sector
Report from OP Ras: 1/  Between 0430 2/ and 1505 Israel forces personnel, armoured personnel carrier and trailer reoccupied position at approximate MR 1907-2749 north of border pillar 19.
Israel-Syria sector OP reports:
(a) OP Romeo:  Between 0345 and 0349 and between 0515 and 0518 machine-gun fire by Israel forces.
(b) OP Five: At O405 machine-gun fire, which ceased immediately, and between 0922 and 0937 artillery fire by Israel forces (confirmed by OPs Six and Two).
(c) OP Yoke:  Between 0506 and 0518 machine-gun and small-arms fire, between 0836 and 0843 four rounds of mortar fire and between 1223 and 1225 machine-gun fire, all by Israel forces.
(d) OP Six:  Between 08l8 and 0828 three rounds of artillery fire by Israel forces (confirmed by OPs Zodiac, Yoke, X-Ray and Five).
(e) OP One: At 0854 machine-gun fire, which ceased immediately, by Israel forces.
(f) OP Three:  Between 0921 and 0935 five rounds of mortar fire by Israel forces.
