SUMMARY STATEMENT BY THE SECRETARY-GENERAL ON MATTERS OF WHICH THE
SECURITY COUNCIL IS SEIZED AND OF THE STAGE REACHED
Pursuant to Rule 11 of the Provisional Rules of Procedure of the Security Council, I submit the following summary statement on matters of which the Security Council is seized and of the stage reached in their consideration on 26 March 1948.

Discussion was continued at the two hundred and seventy-second and at the two hundred and seventy-third meeting. At the hundred and seventy meeting, on the request of the representative of Argentina, and in accordance with Rule 38 of the Provisional Rules of Procedure, the proposal of the representative of Chile to invite Dr. Papanek to supply the Security Council with information in accordance with Rule 39 of the Provisional Rules of Procedure, was adopted by a vote of nine to two.
