Report of the United Nations Conciliation Commission for Palestine
Note by the Secretary-General**
The fifty-fifth report of the United Nations Conciliation Commission for Palestine, covering the period from 1 September 2000 to 31 August 2001, was transmitted by the Chairman of the Commission for communication to the States Members of the United Nations in accordance with paragraph 6 of General Assembly resolution 512 (VI) of 26 January 1952 and paragraph 2 of Assembly resolution 55/123 of 8 December 2000. The text of the report of the Commission is contained in the annex to the present note.

Fifty-fifth report of the United Nations Conciliation Commission for Palestine
In paragraph 2 of its resolution 55/123 of 8 December 2000, the General Assembly requested the Commission to report to the Assembly as appropriate, but no later than 1 September 2001. The Commission notes its report of 31 August 2000 (A/55/329, annex) and observes that it has nothing new to report since its submission.
