Supplemental information

The Chief of Staff of UNTSO, Major-General Ensio Siilasvuo, has submitted i the following report on incidents observed by United Nations military observers on 5 October 1972:

Israel-Lebanon sector
1.  OP 1/ reports on ground activity:
OP Ras:  Between 0445 2 and 1540 Israel forces personnel, armoured personnel carrier and trailer reoccupied position at point at approximate MR 1907-2749 north of border pillar 19.
2.  OP reports on air activity:
OP Khiam:  Between 0921 and 0924 four Israel forces jet aircraft in formations of two flying south-west to north-east were first observed over OP and last observed north-east of OP.
Israel-Syria sector
OP reports:

(a) OP Winter: At 0441 machine-gun fire, which ceased immediately, by Israel forces.

(b) OP Romeo:  Between 0529 and 0532 machine-gun and small-arms fire by Israel forces.

(c) OP Five: At 06lO machine-gun fire, which ceased immediately, by Israel forces.

(d) OP Yoke:  Between 1001 and 1003 machine-gun fire by Israel forces.

(e) OP Three:  Between 2l40 and 2145 sporadic machine-gun fire by Israel forces.
