Forty-second session
Agenda item 136
REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE ON RELATIONS WITH THE HOST COUNTRY
Letter dated 22 February 1988 from the Permanent Representative
of Zimbabwe to the United Nations addressed to the President of
the General Assembly
I have the honour to refer to General Assembly resolution 42/210 B of 17 December 1987 and subsequent General Assembly decision 42/460 of 21 December 1987, by which the Assembly decided to keep under active review agenda item 136 entitled "Report of the Committee on relations with the Host Country". I wish to further refer to the report of the Secretary-General contained in document A/42/915. dated 10 February 1988, on the above matter.
On behalf of the Co-ordinating Bureau of the Movement of Non-Aligned Countries, I wish, in the context of the foregoing, to request the convening of a resumed session of the forty-second session of the General Assembly in order to continue consideration of agenda item 136. In view of the urgency of the matter to be considered, it would be important for the forty-second session of the General Assembly to be resumed as soon as possible, and not later than 29 February 1988.
I have further the honour that the text of this letter be distributed as an official document of the forty-second session of the General Assembly under agenda item 136.
(Signed) I. S. G. MUDENGE
