In my capacity as Chairman of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) group in New York, I have the honour, on behalf of States members of the OIC, to express support for the request submitted to you by the Permanent Representative of Qatar, as Chairman of the Group of Arab States, for the resumption of the tenth emergency special session of the General Assembly to consider the “Illegal Israeli actions in Occupied East Jerusalem and the rest of the Occupied Palestinian Territory”, to address especially the Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip, in particular the killing of Palestinian civilians in Beit Hanoun on 8 November 2006.
