Readout of the Secretary-General's meeting with President Juan Manuel Santos Calderon of Colombia

The Secretary-General praised President Santos for promoting the Victims' Rights and Land Restitution Law as a door towards justice and reconciliation for victims of Colombia's internal armed conflict.

The Secretary-General offered UN assistance to help flood-affected communities.

He commended President Santos for promoting stable relations in the region for supporting progress in Haiti and for being a productive Security Council member.

The Secretary-General and the President also discussed the importance of social and inclusive dialogue with all sectors to define public policy, as well as climate change and disarmament.
