The Secretary-General met with H.E. Mr. Emomali Rahmon, President of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The Secretary-General and the President discussed the United Nations reforms, climate change, terrorism and regional developments in Central Asia and Afghanistan.
The Secretary-General commended Tajikistan’s leadership on water and glacier preservation. He also highlighted Tajikistan’s positive role in resolving border issues and promoting regional cooperation in Central Asia.
