The Secretary-General met with H.E. Mr. Félix Plasencia, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. They discussed the UN’s cooperation with Venezuela, including on humanitarian issues.

They exchanged views about the ongoing negotiations between the Government and the Unitary Platform of Venezuela in Mexico City. The Secretary-General expressed his full support to those negotiations. They also touched upon recent developments in Venezuela and the preparations for regional elections in November.
 

El Secretario General se reunió con el Excelentísimo Señor Félix Plasencia, Ministro de Relaciones Exteriores de la República Bolivariana de Venezuela. Ambos tuvieron ocasión de conversar sobre la cooperación de las Naciones Unidas con Venezuela, incluyendo sobre temas humanitarios.

Intercambiaron sobre las negociaciones en curso entre el Gobierno y la Plataforma Unitaria de Venezuela en la Ciudad de México. El Secretario General expresó su total apoyo a estas negociaciones. El Secretario General y el Canciller conversaron también sobre acontecimientos recientes en Venezuela y los preparativos para las elecciones regionales de noviembre.
