The Secretary-General met with H.E. Dr. Faisal Mekdad, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Syrian Arab Republic. They discussed the developments in Syria.  
 
The Secretary-General encouraged further progress in the United Nations-mediated political process, and reiterated the United Nations’ commitment to ensure that the much-needed assistance reaches all in need.
