Readout of the Secretary-General’s meeting with H.E. Ms. Michelle Bachelet Jeria, President of the Republic of Chile

The Secretary-General met with H.E. Ms. Michelle Bachelet, President of the Republic of Chile. 
 
The Secretary-General commended Chile for its support to UN Peace Operations, particularly to the UN Missions in Colombia and in Haiti.  The Secretary-General and President Bachelet exchanged views about regional developments. 
 
The Secretary-General also thanked Chile for its support to the UN reform.

El Secretario General se reunió con la Excelentísima Señora Michelle Bachelet, Presidenta de la República de Chile.
 
El Secretario General felicitó a Chile por su apoyo a las operaciones de paz de Naciones Unidas, en particular a las Misiones en Colombia y en Haití.  El Secretario General y la Presidenta Bachelet abordaron temas regionales.
 
El Secretario General también agradeció el apoyo de Chile a la reforma de las Naciones Unidas.
