Readout of the Secretary-General's meeting with H.E. Mr. Isaias Afwerki, President of the State of Eritrea on the margins of the 66th General Assembly

The Secretary-General and President Afwerki discussed, among other issues, peace and security challenges in the Horn of Africa, including in Somalia, Sudan and the border demarcation between Ethiopia and Eritrea. The Secretary-General encouraged President Afwerki to continue to engage the UN on matters relevant to Eritrea.
