The Secretary-General met today, 25 September 2010, with H.E. Mr. Carl Bildt, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Sweden.

They discussed a range of issues, including the situation in Afghanistan, Iraq and Cyprus. They also discussed the situation in Sudan, noting the importance of the referendum to be held in the South. The Secretary-General thanked Sweden for its important support to the UN's efforts in many different areas, including in combating sexual violence in conflict.
