Statement attributable to the Spokesperson for the Secretary-General - on the Republic of Korea

The Secretary-General is deeply saddened by the tragic incident on 29 October in Itaewon District in Seoul, in which more than 146 people were reportedly killed and over 150 injured. He expresses his sincere condolences to the families of the victims, as well as to the Government and people of the Republic of Korea, and wishes a swift recovery to those injured.
