Readout of the Secretary-General’s meeting with H.E. Mr. James Marape (MP), Prime Minister and Minister for Treasury of the Independent State of Papua New Guinea

The Secretary-General met with H.E. Mr. James Marape (MP), Prime Minister and Minister for Treasury of the Independent State of Papua New Guinea. The Secretary-General and the Prime Minister exchanged views on sustainable development, forest and biodiversity conservation and enhanced cooperation between the UN and Papua New Guinea.  They also discussed the Bougainville peace process.
