The Secretary-General met with H.E. ⁠General Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno, President of the transition and Head of State of the Republic of Chad. The Secretary-General and the President of the Transition discussed the political transition in Chad, the regional context and Chad’s valuable contribution to United Nations peacekeeping.

Le Secrétaire général a rencontré S.E. le Général Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno, Président de la transition et Chef de l'Etat de la République du Tchad. Le Secrétaire général et le Président de la transition ont discuté de la transition politique au Tchad, du contexte régional et de la précieuse contribution du Tchad aux opérations de maintien de la paix des Nations Unies.
