The Secretary-General met with H.E. Mr. Faustin Archange Touadéra, President of the Central African Republic. The Secretary-General welcomed the progress made on the implementation of the Political Agreement for Peace and Reconciliation, including the establishment of an inclusive Government.
 
The Secretary-General and the President discussed the peace and political processes, in particular the presidential and legislative elections scheduled for late 2020 and early 2021, and the importance of the high-level commitment of the region. They also discussed the socioeconomic and humanitarian situation in the country.

Le Secrétaire général s’est entretenu avec son Excellence Mr. Faustin Archange Touadéra, Président de la République centrafricaine. Le Secrétaire général a salué les progrès enregistrés dans la mise en œuvre effective de l'Accord politique pour la paix et la réconciliation et a salué la mise en place d'un gouvernement inclusif.
 
Le Secrétaire général et le Président ont discuté du processus politique et des élections présidentielle et législatives prévues pour la fin de l’année 2020 et début 2021, ainsi que de l'importance de l'engagement de haut niveau de la région. Ils ont également échangé sur la situation socio-économique et humanitaire dans le pays.
