The Secretary-General met today with H.E. Ms. Salome Zourabichvili, President of Georgia. During the meeting, the Secretary-General and the President discussed the latest developments in Georgia and the region. The Secretary-General commended the very good cooperation between the Government of Georgia and the United Nations, including in the area of innovative financing.
 
The Secretary-General and the President also exchanged views on the important work of the Geneva International Discussions (GID) and the UN’s full support for this mechanism.
