Readout of the Secretary-General’s meeting with H.E. Mr. Nebojša Radmanovic, Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina

The Secretary-General met today with H.E. Mr. Nebojša Radmanovic, Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Mr. Radmanovic updated the Secretary-General on ongoing recovery efforts from the May 2014 floods that hit the region. The Secretary-General assured him of the United Nations’ continued commitment to assist Bosnia and Herzegovina in these efforts.

The Secretary-General and Mr. Radmanovic also exchanged views on the current situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, including the upcoming elections.

The Secretary-General underlined the United Nations’ continued commitment to the reconciliation and dialogue efforts promoted by the Presidency with Peacebuilding Fund support. He also expressed hope that this initiative will continue into the future. In conclusion, they discussed Bosnia and Herzegovina’s contributions to UN peacekeeping operations.
