The Secretary-General met today with H.E. Mr. Blaise Compaoré, President of the Republic of Burkina Faso. During the meeting, they discussed internal developments in Burkina Faso and the country’s progress towards achieving the Millennium Development Goals. 

The Secretary-General and the President also exchanged views on Mali, the Sahel and transnational organized crime. They also noted the need to pursue efforts toward combating climate change.
