The Secretary-General met today with H.E. Mr. Ali Bongo Ondimba, President of the Republic of Gabon.  The Secretary-General and the President discussed the status of mediation efforts relating to the border dispute between Gabon and Equatorial Guinea, with the Secretary-General expressing the hope that the process would soon be concluded. The Secretary-General also commended the active role of Gabon in fighting poaching.
