Readout of for the Secretary-General’s meeting with H. E. Mr. Tomislav Nikolic, President of the Republic of Serbia, on the margins of the 67th United Nations General Assembly

The Secretary-General met with the President of the Republic of Serbia, H.E. Mr. Tomislav Nikolic. During the meeting, they exchanged views on regional cooperation in the Western Balkans and Serbia’s role in encouraging reconciliation, including through the EU-led Dialogue with Pristina. The Secretary-General congratulated Serbia for the election of former FM Vuk Jeremic as President of the 67th UN General Assembly.
The Secretary-General said the United Nations would adhere to the principle of status neutrality in Kosovo.
