Statement by the Secretary-General on Pakistan

I condemn, in the strongest possible terms, today's bomb attack at a market in Peshawar, Pakistan, which reportedly killed over 80 people, many of them women, and injured over 160 people. No cause can justify such inhuman and indiscriminate violence. I wish to extend my sympathy and heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and the Government of Pakistan, and wish those injured a full recovery.
