The Secretary-General met today with Mr. Lakhdar Brahimi, Joint Special Representative for Syria of the United Nations and the League of Arab States. They discussed preparations for the international conference on Syria. The Secretary-General reiterated the absolute importance of a political resolution to the Syrian conflict and stressed the need for all concerned to work on a peaceful solution.
