Readout of the Secretary-General's meeting with the Prime Minister of Mauritius

The Secretary-General met with H.E. Sir Anerood Jugnauth, the Prime Minister of Mauritius. The Secretary-General thanked Prime Minister Jugnauth for his strong support on the Sustainable Development Goals and climate change. He expressed his hope that the SDGs would be fully integrated into Mauritius’ national development programmes. The Secretary-General strongly encouraged Mauritius to uphold the moratorium on the death penalty. The Secretary-General commended Mauritius for its leadership among the Small Islands Developing States.
