Readout of the Secretary-General’s meeting with H.E. Mr. Bronislaw Komorowski, President of the Republic of Poland

The Secretary-General met with H.E. Mr Bronislaw Komorowski, President of the Republic of Poland. He congratulated Poland and former Prime Minister Donald Tusk on the latter’s selection as the new EU Council President. 

He thanked the Polish Government for its close involvement in diplomatic efforts towards a peaceful solution to the Ukraine crisis.

He encouraged Poland to play a major role in efforts to reach an international agreement on climate change.
