Note to Correspondents: Statement by the Leadership Panel of the OPCW-UN Joint Investigative Mechanism, Ms. Virginia Gamba, Mr. Adrian Neritani, Mr. Eberhard Schanze

In its third report to the Security Council, the OPCW-UN Joint Investigative Mechanism indicated that the Leadership Panel would submit its conclusions on the three outstanding cases in its fourth report. This report is under preparation and will be submitted to the Security Council in due time. Any and all further steps with regard to accountability are up to the Members of the Security Council after they consider the report.
