Note to correspondents on the work of the UN Special Envoy on the Freeze in Aleppo

The UN Special Envoy Staffan De Mistura is continuing discussions with the Syrian Government on the Freeze in Aleppo. He is dispatching a mission to Aleppo. The mission will aim to assess the situation on the ground and to ensure that, once the Freeze is announced, humanitarian aid can significantly increase, and to prepare arrangements to follow up on violations of the Freeze.
