Note to correspondents in response to questions concerning Saudi Arabia

Regarding questions on Saudi Arabia’s Security Council seat, the Spokesperson has the following to say:

I can confirm that the Secretary-General has received a letter from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia concerning its Security Council seat.

The matter is now one for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Security Council and the Member States to consider.
