Note to Correspondents in response to questions regarding China’s effort in support of Middle East peace process

In response to questions about China’s effort in support of Middle East peace process, the Spokesperson for the Secretary-General has the following to say:

We welcome China's efforts in support of Middle East peace and the resumption of meaningful Israeli-Palestinian negotiations. We are supportive of the broad engagement of key regional and international partners to that end. Concerted international action is essential to help achieve the two-state solution.
