Note to correspondents – correction concerning messages by the Secretary-General

The Secretary-General is aware that a year-end message, written in Korean, falsely attributed to the Secretary-General, has been widely distributed through social media.

The Spokesperson would like to clarify that there was no personal year-end message or New Year's greeting from the Secretary-General, whether written in Korean or English.

If you receive such a message, please disregard it and inform any other recipients that the message does not come from the Secretary-General.

The Secretary-General takes this opportunity to wish you a healthy and fruitful year.
