Objectives:
To strengthen the capabilities of the country’s Harmful Algal Blooms (HABs) regulatory body in monitoring Ciguatoxin (CTX) and other emerging algal toxins in seafood to ensure public health safet, and to assist the local fisheries industry by providing a laboratory capable of quantifying and certifying levels of CTX and other algal toxins in seafood products for export.
