Meeting with Director-General of UNESCO

The President of the UN General Assembly, Mr. Mogens Lykketoft met on Tuesday with the Director-General of UNESCO, Ms. Irina Bokova to discuss the important role of the organisation in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Agenda, especially regarding Goal 4 – inclusive and quality education for all. The President also commended UNESCO for its significant role in countering violent extremism and radicalization through education.
