Launch of Good Practices in South-South & Triangular Cooperation in Least Developed Countries, 16 March 2022

The United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC), the United Nations Office of the High Representative for the Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States (UN-OHRLLS) and the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF), in partnership with the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) will jointly launch the “Good Practices in South-South and Triangular Cooperation in the least Developed Countries: From the Istanbul Programme of Action to Achieving Sustainable and Resilient Development” publication.

LDC Future Forum 5-7 October 2021

The LDC Future Forum will bring together the academic community, policymakers and practitioners to solicit new thinking on the challenges and make policy recommendations for LDCs for the next decade. It will contribute to the Fifth United Nations Conference on LDCs (LDC5), taking place in Doha in January 2022, addressing structural challenges and emerging issues faced by LDCs.

Asia-Pacific Regional Review Meeting on the Implementation of the Istanbul Programme of Action in Preparation for the Fifth United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries (LDC5)

30 August - 2 September 2021.  The Asia-Pacific Regional Review will undertake a comprehensive appraisal of the implementation of the Istanbul Programme of Action in Asia-Pacific LDCs, share best practices and lessons learned and identify obstacles and constraints encountered. The meeting will identify effective international and domestic policies in the light of the outcome of the appraisal as well as new and emerging challenges and opportunities and the means to address them.

LDCs - Recovery from COVID-19 - Tackling vulnerabilities and leveraging scarce resources

OHRLLS, OECD Development Centre and the Foundation for Studies and Research on International Development (FERDI) held a virtual event on 21 and 23 October 2020 “The Road to the 5th UN Conference on the Least Developed Countries (LDC5): Recovery from COVID-19 - Tackling vulnerabilities and leveraging scarce resources” on 21 and 23 October 2020. Interpretation in English and French will be provided.
