Major Groups Participation

Major groups organizations that have consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the UN (ECOSOC) or had previously received consultative status through the Commission on Sustainable Development (CSD) roster are encouraged to participate in Sessions of the UN Forum on Forests. To verify if your organization is ECOSOC accredited, use the search function of the NGO Branch of the Office for ECOSOC Support and Coordination website.

Unaccredited Organizations

Organizations that do not have consultative status may be able to attend Forum sessions as part of the delegation of their country, or as part of the delegation of an accredited organization. You can also find additional information on how to apply for consultative status with the Economic and Social Council, on the NGO Branch website
