Just in time for United Nations Day, celebrated each year on 24 October, the Department of Global Communications has released the 2022 edition of The UN Card.
The cards succinctly shows how the work of the United Nations and its agencies affects the lives of people around the globe.
The United Nations:

Supplies vaccines to 45% of the world's children, helps save 3 million lives a year

Tackles the global water crisis affecting over 3.6 billion people worldwide

Protects and promotes human rights globally and through 80 treaties/declarations

Uses diplomacy to prevent conflict: assists some 50 countries a year with their elections

The Department of Global Communications has published The UN Card annually since 2009.
The cards are available in the 6 official languages - Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, and Spanish - and, for the first time, in Hindi, Kiswahili and Portuguese.
