Since 2011, the Secretary-General has held an Annual Memorial Service to honour colleagues from United Nations Secretariat entities, as well as UNRWA, IOM, and funds and programmes, who lost their lives in the line of duty in the previous year.
This year’s Annual Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, 19 July, to honour those fallen colleagues who lost their lives in the line of duty during the period from 1 January to 31 December 2022.
The Memorial Service will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in the Trusteeship Council Chamber at United Nations Headquarters in New York.
A live broadcast will be available via webcast on UN Web TV for those who cannot attend in person.
It offers a solemn opportunity to remember our fallen colleagues and reflect on their legacies.
