VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT (regulations)
(April 13, 20 / 7 a.m. – 11 a.m.)
Venue: Camp Allsport, 336 Avenue Y, Brooklyn, NY, 11223.
Format:
• Round Robin within Groups (Pool Play)
• Single Elimination Playoffs
• Teams divided into 2 Groups
• All group matches will be played to 1 set (first to 25 points, win by 2 points)
Schedule:
• Group Play on April 13: Each team within their group will play each other team once.
• Playoffs on April 20:
o 1st Place Group A vs. 2nd Place Group B (Semifinal 1) o 1st Place Group B vs. 2nd Place Group A (Semifinal 2) o Winners of the Semifinals play in the Championship Match (Final) Team Composition:
• Each team will consist of 6 players.
• Substitutions are allowed during any deadball situation.
Game Rules:
• Official FIVB volleyball rules will be used with some modifications for time constraints.
• A referee will be present to officiate the games and enforce rules.
• Any disputes will be resolved by the referee.
• Spiking is allowed.
• Serving: Each player gets one serve attempt.
• Net height will be standard men's height (7 ft 11.6 inches).
Time Outs:
• Each team will be awarded one 30-second time-out per set.
Sportsmanship:
• Fair play and good sportsmanship are expected from all participants.
• Any player exhibiting unsportsmanlike conduct will be subject to warnings or disqualification at the referee's discretion.
