As of 15 November, UN staff and delegates can again use the iconic Dag Hammarskjöld Library reading rooms at United Nation Headquarters and browse our legal collection and journals.
For the past 20 months, the Library provided extensive virtual research support and information services. The time has come for the Library reading rooms to reopen and for in-person services to commence.
Welcome back to the Dag Hammarskjöld Library!
The research support desk will be staffed daily, Monday to Friday, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Please bring your own device as there are no shared computers or printers available.
You are welcome to stay in the reading rooms when the research desk is not staffed. The doors will be open from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
We only ask you to keep all UNHQ safety mandates in mind: wear a mask at all times, interact with Library staff briefly and in a socially distant manner, and kindly observe the United Nations vaccination honour system.
