General Assembly Lobby has a Foucault pendulum given to the UN by the Netherlands win 1955. The Pendulum offers visual proof of the rotation of Earth on its axis. It was presented by the Netherlands in 1955. It consists of a 200 pound gold-plated sphere suspended from the 75-foot ceiling by a stainless steel wire.  In the Western side of the lobby has a stained-glass window designed by the French artist Marc Chagall.
In the Visitors’ lobby a variety of curated thematic, informative, and educational exhibits are shown. The East side is lined by windows with a view of the east river and the delegates’ lounge terrace.
