
Paul Ndhlovu works as a radio champion at Zvandiri in Zimbabwe to help end poverty, ensure good health and wellbeing, and access to quality education for people living with HIV and AIDS.
Paul uses national and community radio stations and social media to identify community and health challenges faced by young people living with HIV and AIDS, including access to sexual and reproductive health and rights and mental health services. By bringing together young people, service providers, policy makers, religious and community leaders, Paul has produced almost 100 episodes drawing in a combined audience of more than 250,000 people.
At the International AIDS 2022 conference, Paul was selected to represent the voices and experiences of young people living with HIV and showcase the power of youth within the HIV response. In 2021, at the International Conference on AIDS and sexually transmitted infections in Africa, Paul presented on the “Impact of the peer-led Zvandiri radio show”.
Paul is one of the eleven International AIDS Society young leaders for the digital space to lead the conceptualization and design of the youth hub, and he is also a young leader for the GOAL Next Gen 2022 Youth Programme, which aims at deepening youth understanding of global citizenship.
