Readout of the Secretary-General's meeting with H.E. Mr. Motegi Toshimitsu, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan

The Secretary-General met with H.E. Mr. Motegi Toshimitsu, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan. The Secretary-General thanked Japan for its contributions to the United Nations, including its support to the global response to the COVID-19 pandemic, humanitarian assistance, climate action and development aid. The Secretary-General and the Foreign Minister also discussed regional issues, as well as the Common Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals.
